High reliability
The Allied Telesis 2914 Series Gigabit interface includes a comprehensive Microsoft Windows utility which performs detailed tests, diagnostics and analysis.
Advanced manageability
Priority queuing allows users to set up the network based on their individual
needs. A comprehensive diagnostics and configuration software suite provides system administrators and engineers with a powerful tool to analyze the adapter card and check specific data.
Wake-on-LAN (WoL)
WoL allows users to remotely power on or wake up an otherwise unavailable computer from a remote location. WoL is a versatile technique that allows computers to be deactivated when not required. When WoL is enabled, the computer maintains power to the network adapter, and continues to process network packets. When a valid WoL packet is detected the network adapter powers on or resumes the computer. Effective use of WoL allows system administrators or users to turn computers on remotely, for patch management remote support and remote access. WoL has the potential to greatly increase the use of low-power modes and energy-saving techniques.
