Overview
The next generation of HP Infiniband FDR edge switches for select HP ProLiant Gen8 SL, DL and ML servers is based on the Mellanox SwitchX and SwitchX-2 technology and consists of four new models:

o Mellanox IB QDR/FDR10 36P Managed Switch
o Mellanox IB QDR/FDR10 36P RAF Managed Switch
o Mellanox IB QDR/FDR10 36P Switch
o Mellanox IB QDR/FDR10 36P RAF Switch

And four existing models:

o Mellanox IB FDR 36P Managed Switch
o Mellanox IB FDR 36P RAF Managed Switch
o Mellanox IB FDR 36P Switch
o Mellanox IB FDR 36P RAF Switch

Together with the next generation of HP Infiniband Adapters based on Mellanox ConnectX-3 technology, they deliver low-latency InfiniBand bandwidth, up to 56 Gb/s Fourteen Data Rate (FDR) or up to 40 Gb/s Quad Data Rate (QDR), for performance driven server and storage clustering applications in High Performance Computing (HPC) and enterprise data centers.
