The Delock 10GBase-T RJ45 SFP+ module enables 10 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity via a standard SFP+ port. It converts an SFP+ slot on a switch or server into a copper RJ45 port. The module supports the 10GBase-T standard, allowing for data transfer rates of up to 10 Gbit/s. It is designed for short-range copper networking, supporting cable runs of up to 30 metres at full speed. Using NBASE-T technology, the module supports auto-negotiation for 2.5 Gbit/s and 5 Gbit/s, depending on the connected hardware.

The metal housing helps dissipate heat during operation. With a power draw of 2.8 W, it meets standard requirements for 10GBase-T SFP+ modules. Installation is simple: the SFP+ connector slides into the host device, and the RJ45 port accepts standard twisted-pair cabling. The module is compatible with Gigabit Ethernet, falling back to 1 Gbit/s if the link partner does not support higher speeds. The operating temperature range is 0 °C to 65 °C, making it suitable for temperature-controlled server environments. It allows network administrators to connect copper cabling to infrastructure typically designed for optical fibre.
