The ICY BOX IB-3740-C31 is a 4-bay enclosure for up to four 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch SATA drives. It uses a USB Type-C interface to support data transfer speeds of up to 10 Gbit/s via the USB 3.2 Gen 2 standard. The enclosure is compatible with SATA I, II, and III, supporting a wide range of hard drives and solid-state drives. It operates in JBOD mode, where each drive appears as an individual volume on the host computer. UASP support is included for faster data transfer on compatible operating systems. Each bay supports drives with a capacity of up to 10 TB.

The housing is made of aluminium and plastic. An integrated fan provides active cooling for the internal drive bays. The unit requires an external 12V/5A power adapter and does not draw power from the USB connection. It is compatible with Windows and macOS and does not require additional drivers. The device features an on/off switch and LED indicators for drive activity. A 1-metre USB Type-C cable and the necessary mounting hardware are included.
