The S-3553LC20D is a kit containing a pair of single-mode SFP modules designed to establish a bidirectional fiber optic link. The package includes two distinct transceivers: the S-35LC20D, which transmits at 1310nm and receives at 1550nm, and the S-53LC20D, which transmits at 1550nm and receives at 1310nm. This complementary wavelength configuration allows for simultaneous data transmission in both directions over a single strand of fiber, which is useful for deployments with limited cabling infrastructure.

These transceivers provide a data rate of 1.25 Gbit/s and are specified for stable network connections over distances of up to 20 kilometers. Each module is equipped with a standard LC connector, ensuring compatibility with common single-mode fiber optic cables. The units support Digital Diagnostics Monitoring (DDM), which gives network administrators access to real-time operating parameters for proactive maintenance and troubleshooting.
