The QNAP TL-D800C 8-bay desktop USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 10Gbps JBOD expansion unit expands existing system capacity with direct-attached storage. This enclosure has eight drive bays and uses a 10Gbps USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 interface. Transfer speeds depend on the host connection and the performance of the installed drives. As a JBOD unit, it presents drives individually rather than using an internal RAID controller, allowing the host system to manage volumes directly through a single cable. This unit is suitable for scaling storage for backups or large archives.

Internal fans provide active cooling to regulate temperature during operation. The rear-mounted cooling system manages heat dissipation across the eight drive bays and operates at 26.2 dB under typical conditions. The desktop chassis features a black and grey finish. The device has no Ethernet ports, as it functions solely as a USB expansion enclosure. It contains no internal memory, as the host system provides the necessary processing and logic for the drives.
