The TP-Link TL-WPA8631P KIT AV1300 is a Powerline adapter kit designed to extend internet connectivity via existing electrical circuits. These adapters use the HomePlug AV2 standard to reach data transfer rates of up to 1300 Mbit/s, with an effective range of 300 metres over electrical wiring. The primary adapter includes three Gigabit Ethernet ports for stable connections to devices such as smart TVs and gaming consoles. Dual-band Wi-Fi 5 provides a wireless access point in remote areas, reaching speeds of up to 867 Mbit/s on the 5 GHz band. Both units feature an integrated power socket, allowing the wall outlet to remain in use for other devices.

Installation is straightforward, with a plug-and-play design that requires no software for basic setup. A dedicated pair button allows for immediate encryption and synchronization between the two adapters. Wireless security is managed through 128-bit AES encryption, supporting WEP, WPA, WPA2, and WPA3 standards. Quality of Service (QoS) functionality allows the kit to prioritise data traffic for applications requiring lower latency.
