The Delock 86171 10GBase-LR SFP+ transceiver is designed for long-range data transmission over single-mode optical fiber. It supports data rates of 10 Gbit/s and complies with the 10GBase-LR standard. The module converts electrical signals into optical pulses for transmission across fiber infrastructure, using a 1310 nm wavelength to maintain signal integrity over long distances. It is compatible with routers, switches, and network interface cards equipped with SFP+ ports, providing a solution for network segments that exceed the reach of copper cabling or short-range multi-mode fiber.

This transceiver features an SFP+ connector for the host device and an LC Duplex interface for the fiber connection. With a maximum range of 10 km, it is suitable for campus or inter-building links. Integrated Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) provides real-time access to operating parameters, such as temperature and optical power, allowing network administrators to monitor link health and identify potential signal degradation.
