QNAP TS-873A-8G - NAS, Black

The QNAP TS-873A-8G is a tower NAS designed for small and medium-sized businesses. It uses an AMD Ryzen V1000 series processor to manage data-intensive workloads across its drive bays. These bays accept 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch SATA III drives for high-capacity backups or file sharing. The unit includes 8 GB of Error Correcting Code (ECC) memory to prevent data corruption. It supports various RAID configurations for both performance and redundancy, and users can choose between the QTS or QuTS hero operating systems.

The internal hardware is cooled by three fans. Two 120 mm fans cool the primary drives, while a 60 mm fan handles the processor and internal circuitry. Integrated M.2 slots allow for solid-state drives to act as a high-speed cache, keeping the primary bays free. Storage management features include online expansion and migration to maintain uptime during hardware changes. The NAS also functions as an FTP server and supports iSCSI LUN for block-level storage. It supports FAT32, NTFS, and HFS+ file systems to ensure compatibility with different client environments.
