The HPE Aruba Networking AP-565EX is a dual-band Wi-Fi 6 access point designed for hazardous industrial environments. It supports the 802.11ax standard across both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, with a combined maximum speed of 1490 Mbit/s (574 Mbit/s on 2.4 GHz and 1200 Mbit/s on 5 GHz). Integrated Bluetooth 5 and Zigbee radios allow the device to function as an IoT hub for sensors and mobile equipment. The unit is certified for installation in Class 1 Division 2 and ATEX Zone 2 locations, where explosive atmospheres may be present.

Wired connectivity is provided via a single Gigabit Ethernet port. The unit is powered by Power over Ethernet (PoE), which simplifies installation in remote outdoor areas where traditional power sources are limited. Security features include WPA2, WPA3, and Enhanced Open, as well as an integrated firewall. MU-MIMO and beamforming technologies support up to 50 connected devices. Network administrators can manage the hardware through a web-based interface that supports quality of service (QoS) and tagged VLANs. Internal omni-directional antennas provide coverage when mounted on walls or ceilings.
