The Bosch Indego S+ 500 is a robotic lawnmower designed for lawns with an area up to 500 m². It operates on a 2.5 Ah lithium-ion battery that provides a runtime of 60 minutes from a one-hour charge. Its cutting system uses three rotary blades to achieve a 190 mm cutting width on each pass. This mower employs LogiCut navigation, a system that maps the lawn to create an efficient, systematic mowing pattern in parallel lines. Installation is based on a boundary wire that defines the mowing perimeter. It incorporates a BorderCut function for improved results along lawn edges and a mulching function that returns fine clippings to the soil as a natural fertilizer. The cutting deck height can be manually set to one of three positions within a range of 30 to 50 mm to suit grass conditions.

Control and configuration are handled via the Bosch Smart Gardening app, which enables remote scheduling and management. The mower supports up to three distinct lawn areas using its MultiArea capability and includes a SmartMowing function that automates the cutting schedule based on lawn analysis. A suite of integrated sensors, including lift, tilt, bump, and rain detectors, ensures safe operation and weather-appropriate performance. For security, the unit is protected by a PIN code, has an IPX4 rating for water spray resistance, and returns to its base station automatically when required.
