The Makita BL1021B is a 12 V, 2.0 Ah lithium-ion battery for Makita 12 V CXT cordless power tools. It balances runtime and weight for handheld use. The lithium-ion cells keep the output steady throughout the discharge cycle and are not subject to the memory effect seen in older battery types. One battery is supplied, suitable as a replacement or a spare. It powers any compatible tool across the CXT platform.

At 210 g, the pack reduces arm fatigue during overhead work and in tight spaces. An LED indicator on the housing shows the remaining charge before a job starts. Built-in circuitry protects against overload, low voltage, and overheating. The battery measures 87 × 64 × 37 mm, compact enough to fit in a toolbag. No charger is included; a compatible Makita CXT charger must be purchased separately.
