The BOSCH SDS-plus Adapter with 1.5–13 mm Keyed Drill Chuck is a chuck-conversion set for standard drilling with cylindrical-shank bits. It allows bits within that stated diameter range to be mounted in an SDS-plus hammer drill. The conversion provides an alternative to bits that use the drill's native mounting format. Suitable work materials are determined by the selected cylindrical-shank bit rather than by the adapter itself. This accessory is relevant when an existing SDS-plus drill needs to run a standard bit format.

The SDS-plus shank mounts the assembly directly in a compatible hammer drill. Bosch specifies it for light SDS-plus machines weighing up to 2 kg, including compatible drills from other brands. During use, the drill's impact function must remain switched off. The keyed mechanism is tightened manually to retain the fitted bit during conventional rotary drilling. At 420 g, the attachment adds a defined amount of weight to the host drill.
