Makita 9237CB 1200 W 180 mm Rotary Polisher is a mains-powered rotary tool for polishing and finishing painted, metal, automotive and other hard surfaces. Its 1,200 W input motor is intended for sustained surface-restoration and workshop tasks. The no-load speed reaches 3,200 RPM for controlled material and compound movement. Variable speed preselection allows the rotation rate to be matched to the surface and polishing stage. Rotary operation provides direct disc rotation rather than the oscillating action of an orbital machine.

The round plate uses spindle-mounted discs, providing a defined accessory setup for polishing work. At 3.4 kg, the handheld body combines a soft-grip area with an auxiliary handle for two-handed control. Soft start reduces initial movement when the motor is switched on. A rubber-coated gear housing helps limit marking if the tool body contacts the work surface. The 2.5 m mains cable provides working reach around vehicles, benches and other fixed workpieces.
