Makita DBO180Z 18V LXT Cordless Random Orbit Sander — Body Only is a battery-powered random orbit sander for sanding and polishing wood, stone and metal surfaces. The cordless format suits woodworking, surface preparation, and large-area sanding and polishing where a mains lead would restrict access. Three selectable speed settings give a no-load oscillation range of 7,000 to 11,000 OPM, so the sanding action can be matched to different materials and stages of surface preparation. As a compact handheld tool, the random orbit sander is intended for both professional and DIY work.

An integrated dust-extraction port directs debris into the supplied dust bag, helping contain residue at the tool. Rubberised soft-grip areas and an ergonomic body support controlled handling during longer sessions. The tool weighs 1.7 kg, which matters for prolonged use and work across larger surfaces. It accepts removable Makita 18 V LXT batteries, excluding 1.3 Ah models. This body-only version includes neither a battery nor a charger, so existing platform compatibility is essential. One sanding sheet is supplied for initial setup.
