The DEWALT 18V XR Brushless Cordless Hammer Drill/Driver is a battery-powered drill for drilling, hammer drilling and screwdriving. Its brushless motor delivers up to 70 N⋅m of torque in hard applications. Maximum drilling diameter is 40 mm in wood, 13 mm in steel, and 13 mm in concrete. Soft applications have a separate torque rating of 27 N⋅m, providing a lower rated output for controlled fastening.

At 1.3 kg without a battery, the drill has a soft-grip, ergonomic pistol handle for regular handheld use. Its keyless metal chuck accepts bits from 1.5 to 13 mm, so bits can be changed without a chuck key. A two-speed gearbox and adjustable speed control cover drilling and fastening tasks. The integrated LED illuminates the immediate work area in confined or poorly lit spaces. It uses lithium-ion batteries from the DEWALT 18V system, but neither a battery nor a charger is supplied. A carrying case is included for storage and transport.
