The Makita DGA513Z 18 V LXT Brushless Cordless 125 mm Angle Grinder, Tool Only, is intended for cutting, grinding and deburring metal and other suitable materials. This battery-powered grinder accepts 125 mm discs for general fabrication and site work. Its 660 W rated input and 8,500 rpm maximum no-load speed set the upper limit for material removal and cutting. Variable-speed control provides a 3,000 to 8,500 rpm range for matching the speed to the application or fitted accessory. The 18 V LXT lithium-ion power system allows operation away from a mains supply.

At 2.3 kg, the grinder has a working weight suited to overhead or extended tasks. A soft-grip handle and auxiliary handle provide two contact points for control. Soft start tempers motor acceleration when the trigger is pulled. Kickback protection and restart protection address disc snagging and unintended startup after a power interruption. The protective guard adjusts without tools, simplifying repositioning for cutting or grinding. It is supplied without a battery or charger, so both must be sourced separately if they are not already available.
