The BOSCH GDS 18V-1000 Professional 18V Impact Wrench 1/2-inch Body Only is a cordless impact wrench for fastening and loosening work. It runs on an 18 V supply compatible with Bosch Professional 18V batteries. Maximum tightening torque is rated at 1,000 N·m for demanding fasteners and assembly tasks. A 1/2-inch drive accepts matching sockets used in vehicle maintenance and steel construction. This impact wrench is intended for screwdriving applications, not for drilling into wood, metal or masonry.

At 2.9 kg without a battery, the impact wrench has a pistol-shaped handle for controlled positioning. Three selectable speed and torque settings allow output to be matched to different fasteners. Speed is adjustable, and the maximum no-load speed reaches 1,750 RPM. This body-only version includes neither a battery nor a charger, so both must be sourced from the compatible Bosch Professional 18V platform. A carrying case is supplied for storage and transport, but there is no built-in work light.
