The QNAP TS-873AEU-4G is an 8-bay, 2U rackmount storage system for small and medium-sized businesses. It uses an AMD Ryzen Embedded V1500B quad-core 2.2 GHz processor and runs the QuTS hero operating system, which includes enterprise-grade data management features. The system comes with 4 GB of DDR4 ECC memory to maintain stability during data-intensive tasks. The eight hot-swappable bays accept 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch SATA hard drives and SSDs, with support for RAID 5, 6, and 60 for data redundancy.

Connectivity includes two 10 GbE RJ45 Ethernet ports. Eight internal M.2 slots allow for NVMe SSD cache acceleration without occupying the primary drive bays. The chassis measures 297.4 mm in depth, making it suitable for compact rack cabinets. Three 60 mm fans provide cooling for the internal components. A built-in 250 W power supply unit maintains a typical consumption of 55.01 W during operation. Administrators can use iSCSI LUN backups and snapshots to protect critical data. The device is compatible with various platforms, including Windows Server 2019 and Ubuntu.
