BLACK+DECKER GL250-QS Electric Grass Trimmer, 250 Watt, 230 millimetres, Orange

The BLACK+DECKER GL250-QS is a 250W corded grass trimmer designed for maintaining small to medium-sized gardens. Powered by the mains, it delivers consistent performance without the runtime limitations of battery-operated models. The tool uses a 250 W motor to clear weeds and overgrowth along borders, paths, and fences. Its 230 mm cutting diameter balances reach and manoeuvrability in tight spaces, allowing users to navigate around obstacles that standard lawnmowers cannot easily access. Operation requires a nearby power outlet or a suitable extension lead.

The orange housing ensures high visibility, and the trimmer is designed for straightforward, routine maintenance. It weighs 1300 g, which helps reduce arm fatigue and allows for easy one-handed use. The shaft has a fixed, non-telescopic design that maintains a constant length. An automatic line feed mechanism advances the cutting thread as needed, removing the need for manual adjustments and ensuring the cutting width remains consistent. Maintenance is limited to replacing the spool once the existing nylon thread is depleted.

• 11,500 rpm rotational speed: Spins the cutting head rapidly to slice through grass and light weeds.
• 1.5 mm line diameter: Uses a standard-thickness nylon string suitable for everyday domestic lawn edging.
• 6 metres of supplied line: Includes a pre-wound spool within the cutting head for immediate use.
• 7.2 m/s² vibration emission: Indicates the physical feedback transmitted to the user's hands during operation.
• 94 dB sound power level: Indicates the total acoustic output, providing a baseline for hearing protection requirements.
