The GP Discovery Headlamp CH42 is a compact LED headlamp designed for general-purpose outdoor and household use. It produces up to 200 lumens and throws a beam 40 metres, providing enough light for walking, DIY tasks, and close-up work. On its lowest setting, the headlamp runs for up to 15 hours. Two LED lamps serve as the light source, with output adjustable across three power levels to match the situation.

Weighing 65 grams, this hands-free light sits comfortably on the forehead during extended wear. The headband is adjustable and detachable, so it can be removed for cleaning or replacement. A pivoting head allows the beam angle to be repositioned downward without moving the whole unit. The housing carries an IPX4 rating, meaning it resists splashing water from any direction, and the construction is tested for drops from up to 1 metre. Power comes from three included AAA alkaline batteries, which are disposable rather than rechargeable. Four light modes—High, Medium, Low, and Flashing—are selected via button controls.
