METABO HS 18 LTX 45, Battery, 45 cm - Hedge Trimmer

The Metabo HS 18 LTX 45 Solo cordless hedge trimmer is a battery-powered tool for shaping hedges, shrubs and similar garden growth. Its 430 mm cutting length and 19 mm tooth spacing are rated for branches up to 19 mm thick. The double-reciprocating cutting system runs at 2,600 strokes per minute, supporting steady progress along established hedges. This combination is suited to routine trimming and more precise shaping without relying on a mains connection.

Weight is 2.5 kg with a battery fitted and 2 kg without one, making the difference between bare-tool and working weight clear. Balanced construction, an ergonomic soft-grip handle and a low-vibration system support control during longer maintenance sessions. A safety switch helps prevent unintended operation, while the quick-stop blade brake brings the cutting system to a prompt halt. The cordless format also avoids having to manage an extension cable around hedges, borders and other garden obstacles.

This Solo version is supplied without a battery or charger, so both must be sourced separately if compatible equipment is not already owned. It accepts all 18 V battery packs and chargers from CAS Cordless Alliance System brands and uses lithium-ion battery technology. Measured sound output is 87 dB for sound power and 78 dB for sound pressure, which provides a useful reference when planning work in noise-sensitive locations. The housing is finished in black, green and red, and the removable battery format allows a depleted compatible pack to be exchanged.

• Impact protection helps shield the blade when working close to walls, fences or the ground.
