NETGEAR WAX638E - Wireless Access Point, White

The NETGEAR WAX638E is a tri-band wireless access point using the Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) standard. It operates across the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz bands to provide a maximum combined throughput of 7800 Mbit/s. Band-specific rates are 600 Mbit/s on 2.4 GHz, 4800 Mbit/s on 5 GHz, and 2400 Mbit/s on 6 GHz. The device supports mesh networking for scalable deployments across multiple units. The 6 GHz spectrum helps reduce congestion in dense wireless environments for compatible devices.

Wired connections are provided by two 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45 ports. Power over Ethernet (PoE) allows for both data and power to be delivered via a single cable. Security is managed through WPA2-Enterprise and WPA3 encryption. Network segmentation is supported via tagged VLANs and guest access. Configuration and firmware updates are handled through a web-based interface. The white chassis is designed for wall mounting.
