The be quiet! Shadow Base 800 FX is a mid-tower chassis designed for high-airflow configurations and extensive component compatibility. It supports motherboards up to the E-ATX form factor, providing ample space for large-scale builds. The case structure incorporates a mesh front panel to facilitate direct air intake, which works in conjunction with the four pre-installed 140 mm Light Wings PWM fans. A 4 mm tempered glass side panel allows for a full view of the internal components and is secured for easy access.

This case offers substantial flexibility for both air and liquid cooling systems. It accommodates radiators up to 420 mm in both the front and top positions, enabling dual large-radiator setups for advanced thermal management. For storage, the chassis provides dedicated bays for 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch drives. The seven expansion slots also support vertical GPU mounting to display the component.
