The Makita DGA519RTJ 18V LXT Cordless Angle Grinder with X-LOCK, 2 x 5.0Ah Batteries and MakPac Case is a 125 mm grinder for cutting, grinding, and surface preparation. Its cordless design makes it suitable for portable work on metal, steel, and other compatible materials. Variable speed control ranges from 3,000 to 8,500 RPM, so the speed can be adjusted to suit the application. The 8,500 RPM top speed handles cutting and general metal-grinding tasks with compatible accessories. The X-LOCK system allows compatible discs and accessories to be changed without additional tools.

An auxiliary handle and soft-grip surfaces enable controlled two-handed operation. The protective guard shields the exposed part of the accessory. Active Feedback Sensing Technology stops the grinder if an accessory jams, reducing the risk of kickback. The electronic brake brings the accessory to a stop when the trigger is released.
