MAKITA DHP483Z 18 V Brushless Cordless Hammer Drill and Screwdriver, Body Only

The MAKITA DHP483Z 18V Brushless Cordless Hammer Drill and Screwdriver Body Only is a battery-powered drill for drilling, screwdriving and hammer drilling in masonry. It runs on Makita's 18V LXT battery platform. Maximum torque is rated at 40 N·m for hard applications. Maximum drilling diameter is 36 mm in wood, 13 mm in steel and 13 mm in concrete, with the same 13 mm maximum specified for brickwork.

The pistol-grip body has a soft-grip handle for a more secure hold during use. A keyless chuck accepts accessories from 1.5 to 13 mm, so no chuck key is needed. Speed is adjustable, allowing control over the drilling or screwdriving rate. An integrated LED provides local illumination in dim work areas. The drill uses removable lithium-ion batteries from the Makita 18V LXT platform. No battery or charger is supplied, so a compatible version must be purchased separately or already owned. A carrying case is also not included.
