Einhell GC-CH 1855/1 Li-Solo Cordless Hedge Trimmer, Body Only

The Einhell GC-CH 1855/1 Li-Solo Cordless Hedge Trimmer, Body Only is a battery-powered model intended for routine maintenance of hedges, shrubs and bushes. Its 550 mm cutting length is paired with 18 mm tooth spacing and an 18 mm maximum branch thickness, making it suitable for trimming and shaping established garden growth. A reciprocating double blade provides the cutting action across the working length. With no mains lead attached during use, the trimmer can move freely along fence lines and between separate planting areas.

The listed 2.44 kg weight is worth considering for extended sessions and work above shoulder height. A rotating rear handle changes wrist orientation for horizontal and vertical cuts, while the adjustable auxiliary handle provides a second control point. The handle arrangement is described as ergonomic and supports control in different working positions. The blade is made of steel, and the drive train includes a metal gearbox designed for regular garden use.

This body-only version uses the Einhell Power X-Change battery system, so compatible packs can be shared with other products on the same platform. Neither a battery nor a charger is supplied, so compatible power-system components must be sourced separately unless already owned. The removable-battery format allows the tool and battery to be stored separately and lets packs be swapped during larger jobs. An integrated wall-mounting option provides a defined storage position, and the black and red casing is the stated colour finish.
