The MikroTik Chateau LTE18 ax (S53UG+5HAXD2HAXD-TC&EG18-EA) is a dual-band Wi-Fi 6 router designed for home and small-office use. Although it lacks 5G support, the unit features a built-in 4G modem and Micro SIM slot to provide cellular broadband where fixed lines are unavailable. It broadcasts an 802.11ax wireless network with a total maximum throughput of 1774 Mbit/s—split across 1200 Mbit/s on the 5 GHz band and 574 Mbit/s on the 2.4 GHz band. The device also supports standard Ethernet WAN connections, allowing the cellular link to serve as an automatic failover for network continuity.

Four antennas—two internal and two external detachable ones—provide up to 6 dBi gain to optimise cellular reception and wireless coverage. The router includes five Ethernet LAN ports supporting speeds up to 2500 Mbit/s. A dedicated 2.5 Gigabit port facilitates high-speed communication with high-bandwidth hardware, such as network-attached storage or managed switches. Running on RouterOS v7, the system provides administrators with granular control over routing protocols, VLANs, and quality of service (QoS) configurations. Traffic is secured via WPA3 and a built-in firewall with stateful packet inspection. A USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port is included for connecting peripheral devices or external storage.
