Designed for trail running, ultrarunning, and extended hiking, the PETZL NAO RL rechargeable LED headlamp provides hands-free illumination with a maximum output of 1500 lumens and a beam that reaches up to 200 metres. On the lowest setting, it runs for up to 80 hours. A distinguishing feature of this model is REACTIVE LIGHTING, which automatically adjusts brightness and beam pattern based on ambient light to optimise visibility and battery use. Standard lighting modes with three selectable power levels are also available when manual control is preferred.

The headlamp weighs 145 grams and uses a balanced design that places the rechargeable battery at the rear, while the adjustable headband helps keep the unit stable during movement. A pivoting head allows the beam to be angled without repositioning the band. Power comes from an integrated 3200 mAh lithium-ion battery that recharges in 3.5 hours via USB. An IPX4 rating means the housing withstands water splashes from any direction. Button controls manage the three power levels, and a battery-level indicator shows remaining charge.
