The Thermalright AXP90-X36 is an air cooling solution engineered for systems requiring minimal vertical clearance, such as small form factor (SFF) chassis and HTPC cases. The unit’s total height measures 21 mm, classifying it as an ultra-low-profile component. Effective heat transfer from the processor is managed by a nickel-plated copper base plate integrated directly with four 6 mm diameter copper heat pipes. These pipes facilitate the movement of thermal energy into the dense aluminum fin stack for passive exchange.

Active cooling is executed by an integrated 92 mm fan utilizing a hydraulic bearing, designed for efficient operation within tight spaces. The fan supports Pulse-Width Modulation (PWM) control via a 4-pin connector, allowing the speed to dynamically adjust up to 2700 RPM based on thermal load. This configuration provides a maximum airflow of 42.58 CFM and a maximum static pressure of 1.33 mmH₂O. At its highest operational setting, the noise output registers at 22.4 dB, maintaining an acoustic profile suitable for quiet computing environments.
