The HPE Networking Instant On AP21 is a dual-band Wi-Fi 6 access point designed for small-scale networks. Sold as a five-pack, each unit operates on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, using 802.11ax technology to deliver a combined maximum wireless throughput of 1,500 Mbit/s. Each unit features 2x2 MIMO radios and supports OFDMA to improve efficiency across simultaneous connections, supporting up to 50 devices per unit. Internal antennas and integrated beamforming provide coverage across areas of up to 139 square metres.

Each device connects via one 1 GbE Base-T Ethernet port and is powered by Power over Ethernet (PoE) or a DC connection, with a typical power draw of 10.1 W. The units are designed for ceiling or wall mounting and include an LED status light. Security is managed via WPA2, WPA3, and Enhanced Open protocols. Administrators manage the network through a web-based interface that supports guest access and intelligent mesh technology. Each unit weighs 255 grams and measures 145 mm square.
