The TP-LINK Deco X10-4G is an AX1500 dual-band Wi-Fi 6 mesh gateway designed for whole-home wireless coverage. This unit features integrated 4G+ LTE connectivity (CAT 6) via a dedicated SIM card slot, allowing it to operate either as a primary internet source or as an automatic backup failover connection. The system uses Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) technology, offering maximum theoretical data transfer rates of 1201 Mbit/s on the 5 GHz band and 300 Mbit/s on the 2.4 GHz band.
For maximum coverage in a single unit, the device provides reliable signal distribution across approximately 190 square meters. Wired infrastructure relies on three onboard Gigabit Ethernet ports, which are designed to support either WAN or LAN connectivity depending on the deployment configuration. Mesh operation leverages MU-MIMO and Beamforming technologies, which optimize signal delivery and support stable connections for up to 120 concurrent devices. The unit includes WPA3 security protocols, Quality of Service (QoS) management, and an SPI Firewall.
