The Thermalright Assassin X 120 Refined SE is an air cooling unit designed to manage thermal loads up to 220W TDP on modern processor architectures. Heat dissipation is achieved through a single aluminum fin stack coupled with four 6mm diameter copper heat pipes. This cooler supports a wide array of sockets, including Intel LGA 1700 and LGA 1851, alongside AMD AM4 and AM5 platforms. The overall cooler height of 148 mm is compatible with most mid-tower PC chassis designs.

Cooling air is supplied by a single 120 mm fan which utilizes an S-FDB bearing for stable, long-term operation. The fan speed is controlled via a 4-pin PWM connector, enabling dynamic rotational speeds between 1350 RPM and 1550 RPM based on current CPU temperature. This fan configuration delivers a maximum airflow of 66.17 CFM, while limiting peak noise emission to 25.6 dB. The integrated ARGB illumination offers configurable lighting capabilities via a separate 3-pin connector.
