The StarTech.com 1-Port Gigabit Network Isolator is an RJ45 Ethernet coupler for physical network isolation and equipment protection. It connects two copper cables to shield hardware from ground loops and transient voltage spikes with 4 kV of galvanic isolation. The adapter supports data transfer rates of up to 1000 Mbit/s. As a purely wired device, it includes no Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, and it manages traffic at the hardware level to prevent electrical faults from reaching sensitive systems.
