The Bosch EXPERT C470 Sanding Disc 125 mm K40, 50 Pack is a set of sanding discs for random orbital sanders, designed for coarse, early-stage surface work. The K40 abrasive grade is intended for initial sanding and material removal. Its coarse grit suits jobs where the substrate needs to be levelled before further treatment. Old coatings can also be removed during surface preparation, after which finer abrasives can be used for subsequent finishing stages.

The discs are designed for hardwood, wood and painted wood surfaces. Their stated applications cover woodworking, renovation and paint preparation. On bare timber, the coarse abrasive levels uneven areas before later finishing stages. For coated surfaces, it removes existing layers during the first preparation pass. Because K40 is an aggressive preparation grade, it should be followed by a finer abrasive where a smoother final surface is required.
