The CHERRY AK-C7000 is a compact keyboard designed for use in hygiene-sensitive settings such as medical facilities and laboratories. Its primary feature is a sealed silicone membrane that covers the entire surface, making it resistant to liquids, dust, and other contaminants. This construction allows for thorough wipe-disinfection using standard cleaning agents. For convenience during cleaning, a dedicated function key can be used to temporarily disable all keys, which prevents unintended data entry.

The typing mechanism utilizes a scissor-switch system, providing a key travel of 2.5 mm and a light actuation force for consistent and low-fatigue input. Despite its compact footprint, the keyboard incorporates a full PC layout with 105 keys, including an integrated numeric keypad for efficient numerical data entry. The keys are backlit for visibility in various lighting conditions.
