The NETGEAR Orbi 870 Series is a high-performance Tri-Band Mesh System delivered in a three-unit configuration. It operates using the current Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) standard across the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz frequency bands, designed to maintain system throughput even during high traffic load. The system configuration is rated for maximum wireless data transfer rates up to 21,000 Mbit/s (BE21000) and provides coverage across areas up to 836 square meters.

Processing is managed by a quad-core 1500 MHz processor, supported by 2048 MB of internal RAM and 4096 MB of Flash memory. Network stability for multiple concurrent connections is maintained through Intelligent Mesh technology, along with MU-MIMO and Beamforming features. This architecture is designed to manage the connectivity demands of up to 150 devices simultaneously across the network footprint.

Each unit features four Ethernet ports, capable of supporting Gigabit and 2.5 Gigabit data rates (2.5GBase-T). Security features include WPA3 encryption protocols, integrated firewall capabilities, and support for Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) and Denial-of-Service (DoS) attack prevention. Network management features include Quality of Service (QoS) for traffic prioritization, guest access creation, and dynamic IP support.
