The Ubiquiti UniFi Cloud Key Gen2 Plus (UCK-G2-SSD) is a dedicated controller for managing UniFi networks and surveillance systems. It acts as an on-site console, removing the need for a separate server to run management software. A pre-installed 1 TB SSD provides local storage for video recordings and system data. Networking is provided by a Gigabit Ethernet port, supporting speeds of up to 1000 Mbit/s. It consolidates network management and video security into a single device, managing components such as access points, switches, and security cameras.

Internally, it uses a multicore ARM processor and dedicated memory to handle simultaneous management tasks. Power is supplied primarily via Power over Ethernet, allowing for single-cable data and power delivery. An OLED display on the front panel provides real-time system performance monitoring, while the aluminum enclosure is suitable for both desktop and rack-mounted installations. Bluetooth connectivity assists with the initial setup via mobile devices, and the web-based interface provides remote configuration and monitoring. A dedicated button allows for manual factory resets when necessary.
