The Fractal Design Epoch is a mid-tower ATX case constructed with a steel frame and solid, non-windowed side panels. It is designed for builders who prioritize a clean, minimalist aesthetic and straightforward component installation. The chassis supports standard ATX, Micro-ATX, and Mini-ITX motherboards, providing a versatile foundation for various PC builds. Its internal layout is optimized for direct airflow from the front intake to the primary heat-generating components.

Cooling is addressed with four pre-installed 120 mm fans, three at the front and one at the rear, to establish a balanced air pressure configuration out of the box. For liquid cooling, the case accommodates radiators up to 360 mm in the front, 240 mm on top, and 120 mm at the rear. Component compatibility includes clearance for CPU coolers up to 170 mm in height and ATX power supplies up to 255 mm long, allowing for a wide range of high-performance hardware.

Storage options consist of a drive cage that supports two 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch drives, with two additional dedicated mounts for 2.5-inch SSDs.
