The Keychron K4 Version 3 is a wireless mechanical keyboard with a 96% compact layout, which integrates a numeric keypad into a smaller footprint. Its chassis is constructed with an aluminum frame for rigidity and is fitted with hot-swappable sockets. The device uses Keychron Super Mechanical Brown switches, which provide a tactile response with a 1.5 mm actuation point. To improve typing acoustics, the keyboard includes internal acoustic foam. Double-shot PBT keycaps with an OSA profile are used for their resistance to wear.

This keyboard provides dual-mode connectivity, operating via a detachable USB-C cable or wirelessly through Bluetooth 5.2. In wired mode, it supports a 1000 Hz polling rate suitable for gaming applications. The Bluetooth functionality allows pairing with up to three separate devices, with the ability to switch between them. Full customization is available through the Launcher Web Configurator, enabling key remapping and macro programming. The keyboard also features multiple RGB backlighting effects with adjustable settings.
