The QNAP TS-473A-SW5T 4-bay NAS tower is designed for small and medium-sized businesses to centralize file storage and data protection. The chassis features four hot-swappable drive bays compatible with 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch SATA III hard drives or solid-state drives. An AMD Ryzen Embedded V1500B quad-core processor (2.2 GHz) handles internal operations and file transfers. The unit includes 8 GB of DDR4 ECC memory, which detects and corrects single-bit memory errors to maintain system stability. Network connectivity is provided by two 2.5 GbE RJ-45 ports, which support data rates of 100, 1000, and 2500 Mbit/s. This hardware configuration supports multi-user access and concurrent tasks, such as backups and shared folder administration.

Physical security is provided by locking drive bays, while data integrity is managed via RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, and JBOD.
