The Philips Hue Essential Smart Bulb Starter Kit (3x GU10 + Hue Bridge, Color & Tunable White) includes three spotlights, each outputting 345 lumens—the equivalent of a 50W traditional bulb. The lamps use a standard GU10 fitting for installation in recessed ceiling or track fixtures. These LEDs offer colour temperatures from 2200K to 6500K, ranging from warm white to cool daylight, and support a full spectrum of colours. Dimming is controlled via the app rather than a physical wall switch. The bulbs operate at 5W and have a Class F energy efficiency rating.

The system connects via Bluetooth and ZigBee through the included bridge; it does not have onboard Wi-Fi. It is compatible with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple HomeKit for voice control.
