The Bose Ultra Open Earbuds feature an open-ear design, which directs audio toward the ear without blocking the ear canal. They attach to the side of the ear with a flexible joint and a silicone-coated structure, intended to provide a stable fit during movement. Connectivity is established via Bluetooth 5.3, which supports multiple audio codecs including AAC and aptX for compatible source devices.

These earbuds provide up to 7.5 hours of playback on a single charge, with additional power supplied by the included charging case. A 10-minute fast charge provides extended listening time, and the case fully recharges in one hour via its USB-C port. Onboard physical buttons are used to manage playback, call functions, and volume adjustment directly on each earbud.
