The COROS APEX 4 is a GPS multisport watch constructed for endurance activities and outdoor navigation. Its 46 mm case features a Grade 5 Titanium Alloy bezel and a sapphire glass screen for durability in demanding environments. An all-satellite, dual-frequency positioning system provides location data by accessing GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo networks. The 1.3-inch memory-in-pixel touchscreen display is designed for readability in various lighting conditions and has a resolution of 260 x 260 pixels.

A suite of internal sensors supports performance and health tracking. An optical heart rate monitor and a blood oxygen sensor collect biometric data, while the EvoLab platform analyzes metrics such as VO2 max, training load, and recovery status. The watch also provides comprehensive sleep tracking, including REM stages, and monitors HRV for readiness assessment. Environmental data is gathered by a barometric altimeter, barometer, and electronic compass for activities involving elevation changes.

The watch connects to iOS and Android devices via Bluetooth to deliver smart notifications and call alerts. It is equipped with 32 GB of internal storage for offline music playback, managed directly from the device. A built-in microphone and speaker are included for select audio functions. Wi-Fi connectivity is available for data synchronization with the COROS App, which supports integration with various third-party services like Strava and TrainingPeaks.
