DJI Matrice 400 Third Gimbal Connector

The DJI Matrice 400 Third Gimbal Connector is a payload-mounting accessory made specifically for the DJI Matrice 400 aircraft. It adds an underside mounting point for a third gimbal or another compatible sensor payload. A maximum supported payload of 6 kg accommodates substantial imaging or sensing equipment within the connector’s stated limit. The additional position is intended for aircraft configurations that require several payloads to be carried at the same time. Typical applications include industrial inspection, mapping, search and rescue, and other professional operations involving multiple sensors.

High-strength aluminium alloy forms the connector and provides a secure interface between the aircraft and installed payload. Attached equipment receives its required electrical power through the aircraft’s E-Port V2 system. Control signals also pass through this connection, allowing the aircraft to communicate with compatible equipment. Payload data uses the same interface rather than requiring the connector to serve only as a mechanical mount.
