The HPE Aruba Networking AP-505 is a Wi-Fi 6 campus access point for high-density indoor environments. This 10-pack offers dual-radio connectivity across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, with a maximum combined wireless data rate of 1490 Mbit/s. Individual band speeds are 574 Mbit/s on the 2.4 GHz frequency and 1200 Mbit/s on the 5 GHz frequency. The device uses OFDMA and MU-MIMO for managing simultaneous client connections, while integrated beamforming improves signal quality for connected devices.

Each AP-505 includes one Gigabit Ethernet port and is powered via Power over Ethernet (PoE). Security protocols supported include WPA3 and Enhanced Open for wireless traffic encryption. The access points are configured via a web-based interface, which also supports guest access. Built-in Bluetooth 5 and Zigbee radios facilitate IoT device discovery. The units can be wall or ceiling-mounted and each supports up to 256 devices.
