The D-Link DWM-222W/R 4G LTE AX300 Wi-Fi 6 USB adapter is a portable hotspot that converts cellular signals into a local wireless network. The device supports 4G LTE Cat 4 and 3G connectivity via an integrated Nano SIM slot. It provides a maximum wireless data transfer rate of 286.8 Mbit/s on the 2.4 GHz band. It supports up to eight simultaneous wireless connections. Plugging the adapter into any standard 5V USB power source establishes the connection.

The device connects via a single USB 2.0 port and does not include physical Ethernet LAN or WAN ports. Three internal antennas are integrated into the housing to keep the design compact.
