The MicroConnect AC7260 PCIe x1 dual-band card provides internal wireless connectivity for desktop PCs via an available motherboard slot. It supports the Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) standard with a maximum data transfer rate of 867 Mbit/s, sufficient for general web browsing and media streaming. As a dedicated wireless adapter, it does not include an Ethernet port.
The card uses a 2x2 antenna architecture for signal management and relies on single-user transmission rather than MU-MIMO. It is compatible with Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10, and 11, and Linux distributions running kernel 3.10 or later. Its internal installation leaves external USB ports free for other peripherals.
