The Teltonika RUTX12 is an industrial 4G LTE router designed for cellular redundancy and high-bandwidth connectivity. It features dual LTE Cat 6 modems with independent SIM slots to support automatic failover and load balancing between two cellular providers. The router follows the IEEE 802.11ac Wave 2 standard, providing dual-band Wi-Fi on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies. It offers a maximum combined Wi-Fi throughput of 867 Mbit/s and uses MU-MIMO to handle multiple clients simultaneously. Eight external antennas ensure stable signal reception across cellular and wireless bands.

For wired networking, the RUTX12 includes four Gigabit Ethernet ports and a dedicated Ethernet WAN port. The aluminium housing is suitable for desktop or wall-mounted installation. The unit is powered by an included AC adapter but also supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) for flexible deployment. Integrated security features include a firewall, WPA3 encryption, and support for VPN protocols such as IPsec and OpenVPN. Administrators use a web interface to configure functions and advanced routing protocols, including BGP, OSPFv2, and RIP.
