The Synology DiskStation DS925+ (DS925+/48TB-HAT53) is a network-attached storage device for home and small office use. It holds 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch SATA HDDs or SSDs for centralized storage. While the chassis has four internal bays, the system supports up to nine drives when using expansion units. It supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, and JBOD configurations. The unit runs on an AMD Ryzen Embedded V1500B quad-core processor clocked at 2.2 GHz and features dual 2.5GbE RJ45 ports for network speeds of up to 2500 Mbit/s.

Users can upgrade the memory to a maximum of 32 GB using the two SO-DIMM slots. The NAS runs DiskStation Manager (DSM), a web-based interface for managing file systems such as BTRFS and NTFS. Two 92 mm fans handle cooling, keeping noise levels to 20.5 dB. The hot-swappable drive bays include locking mechanisms, allowing for drive replacement while the system is running. Two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports are available for external drives or other peripherals. A 100 W external power supply unit consumes roughly 37.91 W during typical operation.
